The S.S. Jeremiah O'Brien is one of only two surviving WWII Liberty ships
left in the
world. In 1994, The O'Brien was the only ship to take part in the
Fiftieth Anniversary of the Normandy invasion that actually was there in 1944!
On the return trip to her home port of San Francisco, the Jeremiah stopped
in Portland, Maine, where she was built in 1943. This video is a documentary
of the O'Brien's historic return to her birthplace.
